How to choose
your oysters ?
Flat
or hollow, the Brittany oyster can be eaten all year long. A fresh
oyster is always well closed and presented in its original packing which contains the labeling freshness.
Today new references in the stall allow you
to choose your oysters according to your tastes.
If you eat them
the day you bought them, open them at the last moment. If you wish to keep
them some days more, put them in a cool place or in a
crisper of your refrigerator without
opening them, flat side up and cover them with a weight. You
can then eat them until 10 days from their
date of packaging. The best temperature for keeping them is between
5 ° and 15° C.
The ideal
:
taste oysters 2 days or more after their going out of the water. Please, eat them with rye bread, salty butter and Muscadet wine. Some people add some lemon or a shallot french dressing. A little pepper on every oyster
accentuates their iodized savour.
